The Origin of Feelings

The psychiatrist Rojas said that the happiness is a puzzle that always lacks a part and he defines the feelings such the way in which we are affected and react internally by the circumstances that occur around us.

Those feelings are caused by situations that all men necessarily experience. The loss experience producessadness; the novelty, surprise; the danger, fear; the wish fulfillment, joy.

Wilhelm Wundt, father of modern psychology, suggested that emotions can be classified into three categories: pleasure / displeasure, excitement / tranquility and stress / relaxation. In that sense the most basic emotions described by the experiences pleasant  / unpleasant, as the degree of intensity (passion), and finally to the level of body activation that the person expresses.

According to Virginia Woolf  people like to feel, whatever it is. Our contact with reality is sentimental and practical. I know things, and cause me feel a subjective experience that reveals a world of reactions and feelings. The emotional world is presented to us as bright and dark, hot and cold, tender and violent.

Each culture promotes some feelings and rejects others. It prescribes its intensity because many emotions are related to the typical roles of a particular society or historical period. Human feelings are very similar and the universality of certain emotions are related to the needs and aspirations of every human being. Those feelings are manifested in the behavior and in the speaking of them. We can discover the importance of gestures: facial gestures (laugh, mourn, smile, frown, etc.), and body gestures (standing, tilt your head, bow). A person rich in gestures has a wealth of feelings. In the Mediterranean culture communication is stronglygestural, otherwise the English is more hieratic.

The most important thing is that the demonstrations are in harmony and that they are balanced with the same life, the unity of the person and the maturity gained.
