Movies

In recent months I have gone to the cinema very often, so now I will summarize some of the films that I have seen, I hope you enjoy it!

“The social network”

The social network is a film that explains the origin of Facebook. The film is based on multiple sources and moves from the halls of Harvard to the cubicles of Palo Alto to capture the visceral excitement of the heady beginnings of a phenomenon that would change the current culture and relate how separated and then joined a group of young revolutionaries. In the eye of the storm are Mark Zuckerberg, the brilliant Harvard student who designed a website that seems to have redefined our social fabric overnight; Eduardo Saverin, who was a close friend of Zuckerberg, was the one  who provided the initial capital for the young company; Sean Parker, the founder of Napster that brought Facebook to venture capital investors in Silicon Valley; and the twins Winklevoss, fellow Harvard claiming that Zuckerberg stole their idea and then they claimed its ownership. Each has its own story, his own version of the history of Facebook, but the whole is much more than the sum of its parts because it is a multilayered portrait of a twenty-first century success, both for his youthful imagination as its finite realities.

"Buried"

Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is an American parent who works as a civilian contractor in Iraq. One day he wakes up in a painful situation: he was buried alive in a wooden coffin. He has 90 minutes before consuming all the oxygen. His only hope is a mobile phone found in her clothes, but has very little power and coverage also fails at times. Moreover, the language of the phone is unknown. Because of this situation he suffers an anxiety attack, but finally he manages to change the language. He Try to contact some family members but they do not answer the phone. After many calls he gets contact with his country and tells them what happened. At first they don’t believe him, but finally they put him in touch with a man who is responsible for such matters: to help the hostages. This man tries to reassure him, and tells him that people in the same situation were saved, such as Mark White, and he also advises on things to do and not, for example he advised him to ignore his kidnapper (who ordered him to record a video saying what was happening to upload to the network), but Paul can not stand the pressure, because the kidnapper threatens to hurt his family, and makes the video. A few minutes later, the kidnapper contact him again, but this time he shows a video of what will happen to him if he do not follow his orders. As the film takes the pressure is increasing as time runs out. Furthermore, the only scene in the film is the coffin and, therefore, the only actor Paul so it helps to put yourself in his situation.

"Julia's eyes"

Julia not only facing the loss of his sister, but also the loss of all hope to stop his impending blindness, because she suffers the same condition and when altered, get an attack of blindness, also seems to share the same fate.

Sorry I can not tell you much more, but really is a film worth seeing.

I really liked this movie because until you reach the end you do not really understand what is happening and I also found it very interesting and while you're watching in constant tension. I highly recommend it.

"Harry Potter and the deadthly hallows" (1st part)

The first part begins when Harry, Ron and Hermione are about to undertake the dangerous mission of locating and destroying the secret of immortality and the ability to destroy Voldemort, Horcruxes. Alone, without help from their teachers or the protection of Dumbledore, the three friends should trust each other more than ever. However, among them stand dark forces that threaten to tear them apart.

Meanwhile, the world of magic has become a dangerous place for the enemies of the Dark Lord. The feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters have taken over the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, where they terrorize and arrest anyone who opposes them. However, the trophy is looking more valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted and the Death Eaters Harry seek precise orders to bring him to Voldemort ... alive.

Harry's only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. While searching for clues, uncover an old and nearly forgotten story: the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if this turns out to be true, Voldemort could give the ultimate power he craves.

Slightly Harry can imagine that his future has already been decided by his past when that fateful day, became "the boy who lived. " Harry Potter, which is no longer just a child, moving closer to the task that has been preparing since the day he first set foot in Hogwarts: the final battle against Voldemort.

"3MSC"

During the film are different problems: former boyfriends, suitors, families, teachers, selectivity, illegal racing, etc ...

Romance novels by the Roman writer Federico Moccia have become a bonanza for the locker inside andoutside the country. Italian adaptation of one of his most famous books, three meters above the sky, hasbeen a huge success among the young audience, something he hopes to repeat its Spanish namesake.3msc 3 meters above the sky tells the story of an impossible love, that of a high class girl and a lover ofadrenaline that despite all obstacles, can not help falling head over heels.

"The way"

Tom Avery lives in California, where he works as an ophthalmologist, is in fact one of the best, which does not mean that is totally distanced of his son Daniel. One day Daniel decided to spend the rest of his life traveling the world. This did not seem very good to her father and is one of the reasons why they are growing apart.

One day , while he was playing golf, someone informs Tom that Daniel died when he was in the Pyrenees and  a storm  left him trapped. Thus, Tom decides to go immediately to France. Once there he discovers that hisson had planned to do the Camino de Santiago and in her memory, decides to take the steps of his son, honoring him.

During the long way , he is spreading the ashes of Daniel. He also met different people, different nationalities and very different reasons by those who make the journey. Together they arrived to Santiago, where they complete the way and receive the certificate, in which Tom decides to put the name of his son, as Tom has done for him. Once the road, continue until Muxia decide to leave there in the sea, the ashes of Daniel.

I saw the movie in VOS (Voice Original Subtitled) and it was not very difficult. One reason is because it is shot in Spain and in many places they go (albergues, tabernas , etc..) they meet Spanish people. Also not all people who have known Daniel have English as their first language.

In my opinion is a nice film where you realize that we can have different beliefs but we all have faith.

If you look at the balconies,

In Paterna we celebrate la Cordà the last Sunday of august, the same day that we celebrate Stm. Crist de la Fe i Sant Vicent Ferrer, this is part of our tradition and thousands of persons come to this event to witness something unique in the world because of its magnitude and beauty.

The drawers, full of coets and femelletes of different types and models, are placed in the narrow Main street in 120 meters long and 8 meters wide, between the Main Square and San Antonio Street. In each drawer there are three persons, one of them is veteran and is the one who have to take out the coets in a way to keep a constant rhythm. There are about one hundred fifty persons taking part of this, they normally belong to penyes or are neighbors.

When the Coeter Major walk with the green flare means the beginning of la Cordà, and around 35,000 coets with an average intensity of 1,500 coets per minute. After the intensity experienced, the smokedisappears. Again el Coeter Major , this time with a red flare crosses the Main street and that means theculmination of so sublime event. La Cordà has ended, but not the festival of fire and gunpowder that will continue, with appropriate security measures, until dawn.

For the latter, in the summer of 2001 the government team adopted the determination of establish some basic rules allowed for use of fire more secure, especially after  la Cordà. In this respect the Mayor issued aproclamation during that year, in which regulated the use of rockets and femelletes, enabling el Parc Urbà de la Torre i el Palau, that is known from that time as "coetòdrom”. The result has been highly successful, achieving in recent years drastically reduced the number of wounded in the "recordaes" and implementedwithin the enclosure avantdit popular festive iconography.

I leave a link here to see a documentary about  la Cordà, I hope you enjoy it!
